As one of the first professional large-scale breweries in the country, Narragansett Brewing Company is a trusted brand with a long and complex history in New England. When new ownership took over in 2005 to grow the company and move the business forward, their goals were to expand their product offerings which included a variety of styles of beer not previously offered such as double IPAs, fruited beer, sours, a variety of German styles, and much more. Narragansett relied on ProMach product brand TechniBlend to provide brewing process technology to ensure the success of the innovation and development of these beers.

The team at ProBrew, TechniBlend’s brewery-facing arm, provided the highest quality and industry-standard lauter tanks, fermenters, and brite tanks, all custom-built and fitted specifically for the Narragansett building’s footprint. These tanks allow the team at Narraganset to easily and efficiently grow their brewing portfolio so that they can focus on innovation.  

“After being a lager company for 130 years, there’s a big mountain that we’re going up right now since introducing new England double IPAs and other lagers, fruited beers, sours, IPAs, anything you can imagine,” says Tony Barber, Production and Operations Manager at Narragansett Narragansett. “We have the technology with the [TechniBlend] products that we have in-house and we are able to do absolutely anything we want to which is a fantastic place to be.”

“When we approach projects, we really dive into what the consumer needs and what the brewery needs, to fit their goals, their needs, and of course match the footprint of their building,” says Evan Rusch, Marketing Manager at TechniBlend.
