PMMI’s 2026 report points to converging systems. At Booth S-3630, a full line shows what packaging line performance looks like in motion.
Most equipment decisions start with a spec sheet, and spec sheets describe machines in isolation. Packaging line performance rarely fails that way. It fails at the handoff: backpressure that builds between stations, temperature drift, communication lag between controllers, a changeover that takes forty minutes instead of five. None of it shows up on a data sheet, and none of it is visible when machines sit on separate stands. It appears when equipment enters production mode, and each solution on the line is expected to operate in harmony.
ProMach has made this argument before: bought and installed one at a time, small mismatches turn into micro-stoppages.
The industry is moving the same way. PMMI’s 2026 Packaging State of the Industry Report describes case erecting, packing, and sealing as “increasingly converging into integrated systems,” alongside a “growing convergence between packaging operations and broader factory and warehouse automation.” As PMMI’s Jorge Izquierdo, vice president of market development, puts it: “The State of the Industry tells you what is changing; PACK EXPO International lets you see how the industry is responding. There is no substitute for seeing equipment run, comparing technologies side by side, and having conversations with the suppliers developing solutions for these challenges.”
At the ProMach Pavilion, dozens of brands come together as a full line, with filling, capping, labeling, and end-of-line equipment running as one. That lets visitors judge what a data sheet can’t: how the handoffs hold up and how the line behaves in sequence. It’s a systems-level approach put to work.
ProMach experts are on hand at the machines, Follow the Line icons mark the equipment built for each market, and the InLine Kiosk matches visitors to the ProMach solutions for what they make.
